Dance Journey

Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Shaina has studied various forms of dance for over 25 years. Her professional training began in high school when she was selected to attend the VA Governors School for the Arts 1996-1999. After performing in numerous productions, Shaina decided to further her knowledge of dance and its history by attending Old Dominion University 2005-2009, and obtained her BA in Dance Performance. While in college, Shaina continued to hone her technique and performance abilities with Virginia-based contemporary ballet/modern dance companies from 2004-2009. In 2010, Shaina made the move to NYC in search of new opportunities in the dance world. This is when pole dance took over, for 10 years, she continued to expand her learning skills by taking classes by world renowned instructors at Broadway Dance Center as well as other studios in NYC.
After the birth of her son Drew, Shaina moved back to her home town of Virginia Beach in 2020. She continues to expand her movement knowledge by taking advantage of online classes as well as local dance, pilates and yoga classes.

Pole Journey

In October of 2012, Shaina took her first pole dance class at Body & Pole of NYC. She immediately fell in love with the combination of athleticism and grace and was selected to participate in the 2013 work/study program.

Shaina began competing in 2013, in 2014 she became the US National Pole Champion. This opened up many doors for teaching, judging, and performing pole around the world!

From 2014-present, Shaina has traveled to over 40 countries and 25 states in the US for pole dance related events.

Now as a mother of 2, Shaina is still known for her "legs for days" and stylized contemporary pole dance choreography. Shaina shares her passion by teaching her students through online classes and private lessons as well as in person classes at her home in Va Beach, VA. Along w family life with her husband and 2 beautiful children, she continues to travel to teach workshops as well as Xpert trainings around the US.
